- 3

Transparency is preserved
WebP and PNG both support transparency, so logos, stickers and cut-out images keep their transparent background after converting.
Expect a larger file
WebP usually compresses images more tightly, while PNG stores every pixel exactly. The PNG is often larger, especially for photos. If size matters more than lossless quality, JPG or the original WebP will be smaller.
A safe format for editing
PNG opens in nearly every image editor and doesn't lose quality when saved repeatedly, which makes it a good choice for further editing.
Supported formats
PixMino opens five formats and saves four. HEIC photos from iPhones are saved as JPG or PNG.

Questions
Will the transparent background be kept?
Yes. PNG supports transparency, so transparent areas stay transparent.
Why is the PNG bigger than the WebP?
PNG is lossless and stores every pixel exactly, while WebP usually discards some detail to save space.
Can I convert animated WebP files?
PixMino converts still images. An animated WebP becomes a single still PNG.
